Welcome to My Book Musings! Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read. It’s purpose is to gain and meet new friends and followers. I'm so glad I found this meme!

You can follow me via e-mail, Goodreads, Google Friend Connect (GFC), Linky, Bloglovin' and RSS. Do add me on your Flipboard account as well!

This week's question is:

Q: Happy Mardi Gras! If they were throwing the HOTTEST books off of a Mardi Gras float -- what would you do to have them throw to you…?

Happy Mardi Gras!

If I interpret "hottest" as the newest and most in demand books around, I would like them to throw me the Harry Potter hardbound set signed by J.K. Rowling and the cast! With my acceptance letter to Hogwarts ;)

If we're going for hottest, meaning "sizzling" stories, I'd love the Lords of Vice series by Alexandra Hawkins. I already read them on my Nook but I'd love to have paperback copies, signed of course. Or Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series. They weren't exactly the sexiest, but they really made me laugh and gave me good vibes the whole time I was reading them.

And...I would uhhh dance wildly like no one's watching until I catch the attention of the book givers while wearing my beloved black Hogwarts hoodie with the Hogwarts logo to stand out from all the revelers.

Or dance like a sprite or fairy. I've never dressed up like one!

But I'd ask them not to throw it at me during the revelry, that's going to be quite painful!

What about you, what's your pick? :)

Check out my own meme, That One Line! :)

  1. Ooh, SIGNED copies of Harry Potter, nice! Although I think those would be pretty hard to catch if they were throwing them! And they would hurt if they hit you!

    1. Love your blog layout, very clean!

Thanks for dropping by. Yeah, those books would hurt! I hope we can convince them to just hand it over. Or we can just, you know...run up to them, grab the books, and run like hell. Hehe.

      Happy weekend!

    1. Thanks for dropping by!! Maybe if we, bloggers, come at them in full force they'd just drop in fear and run, leaving the books behind? ;)

      Following you back! :)

  5. HAHA I think my FF is a little off. Oh well. Harry Potter seems to be popular. I feel like I need to read those now so every Friday I don't feel left out. I haven't heard of the rest of the books or authors. Definitely checking those out soon cuz I love me some sizzling hot stories. Thank you for commenting 8) Old follower!

  7. I've read quite a few Julia Quinn books but something out me off after a little while and I had to leave them alone for a wee while. Actually I think it is time for me to pick them back up again... :)
PS - The Phantom of the Opera is a fun and fast read (at least for me it was). It isn't a lot like most of the movies or the musical though. Gaston Leroux was a reporter by trade so it has that kind of story telling feel too it :)

    I'm a new follower :)

Thanks for the info about Phantom of the Opera! :) Followed you back earlier. Thanks :)

  8. Signed copies of any of them would be awesome! I think we need big nets to catch the books as they're being tossed so they don't hit us :) Thanks for stopping by this week. Old follower.
