Book wishlist

Books I'm waiting [with bated breath] for:

Other books released already:
  • Kady Cross' Steampunk chronicles [I've read this already but I want them in HB and I cannot find them here in the Philippines :(]
  • Lois Lowry's The Giver quartet Son. My family gave me The Giver trilogy set and the Son is the only thing missing from my collection.
  • Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita. Okay, this one I'm not really sure of because I'm the type who gets affected by the books I read (that's why I don't read the weepy types nowadays), so I'm quite scared to read this...but it's supposed to be good.
  • Beth Harbison's Hope in a Jar. I love her When in Doubt, Add Butter and Shoe Addicts Anonymous! Plus, I'm getting Confessions of a Shoe Addict from my boyfriend for my birthday. I almost. almost. got a copy of Hope in a Jar but it was sold out from the only seller who has one here. Le sigh.
  • I'm a fan of Filipino authors (see my posts on Filipino books: Trese graphic novels, Lumayo Ka Nga Sa Akin, Hunyango sa Bato, and the writer Lualhati Bautista - her works in general) and right now, I'm fascinated by Mina Esguerra's books. I already have some of her books but I want: No Strings Attached and Interim Goddess of Love.
  • I adored Jenny Colgan's Meet Me at the Cupcake Cafe (Amanda's Wedding, not so much!), but I'm holding out hope that Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe is just as good as Meet Me.
  • One of the series that I'm really following is Septimus Heap. I'm so excited for the next book, Fyre, which is due this year.
  • Hardbound copies of Stieg Larsson's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire, The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. I adore these series for reasons beyond literary.
  • I know it's a little too late from the hype but I really want to get started on Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Angel book. It's so hard to find a hardbound copy these days!
  • Last, but not the least so far, is Weird Things Customers Say in Bookstores by Jen Campbell.
A lot, right?? I can't help it! I'm sure you can relate to that feeling :p
